Knowing a file exists is not the same as having it.

Cloud carries the filename, version and notes. Packtell gets the actual file from your device or storage you choose, such as Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox.

OrbiFabric Cloud is coming soon. This site is informational only; account creation, sign-in, trials, and subscriptions are not yet available.

Where the file lives
  1. 01Cloud: name / version / notes
  2. 02Packtell device: opens the file
  3. 03Local / Drive / OneDrive / Dropbox

Your files take a direct path to your storage.

The ticket is listed on your laptop

You can recognize the right ticket from its name and Package. Opening it still requires a real copy and permission to read that copy.

Where each part belongs

  1. 01

    Cloud carries the background

It helps the next device identify the file and the version you need.

  2. 02

    Packtell asks your storage

The authorized device connects directly to the place that holds the file.

  3. 03

    Your device opens the file

The actual file is obtained and checked on your device. It does not pass through OrbiFabric Cloud.

OrbiFabric Cloud has no capability to obtain your actual files.

The file path stays between your device and your chosen storage.

If something gets in the way

The other computer is offline

New information waits until it reconnects. Files already on your device remain there.

You can see the name but cannot open the file

Connect to the storage that holds the file and check your access. A filename is not a copy of the file.

The only copy is gone

Cloud cannot recreate a lost file from its name, version or Witness record. Recovery needs a surviving copy.

A few things you may be wondering

Does Cloud get my actual files?

OrbiFabric Cloud has no capability to obtain your actual files.

Does leaving Cloud delete my files?

No. Disconnecting Cloud does not delete files on your devices or in your storage accounts.
