Your family can continue on their own devices, too.
Keep flights, hotels, insurance and notes in a “2027 Family trip” Package. Cloud coordinates who belongs to the Family; Packtell and your chosen storage handle the files.
Local Family needs no Cloud. For online sharing, an authorized Packtell device coordinates storage access. Updates may wait while the owner’s device is offline. Removing a member does not erase files they already obtained.

If something gets in the way
The other computer is offline
New information waits until it reconnects. Files already on your device remain there.
You can see the name but cannot open the file
Connect to the storage that holds the file and check your access. A filename is not a copy of the file.
The only copy is gone
Cloud cannot recreate a lost file from its name, version or Witness record. Recovery needs a surviving copy.

OrbiFabric Cloud has no capability to obtain your actual files.
Do I need Cloud for the local product?
No. Bellfly and Packtell are free, open-source local products. Choose Cloud only when you want the online features.
