Across devices does not mean moving your files into Cloud.

Your actual files stay on your devices or in third-party storage you choose. Cloud helps another device know what a file is, where it was and which version matters.

OrbiFabric Cloud is coming soon. This site is informational only; account creation, sign-in, trials, and subscriptions are not yet available.

Your storage, your files
  1. 01Your device

  3. 03Packtell: connects to your files

Cloud carries the background, not the file.

One family trip, with storage you already use

Your trip Package brings the bookings and insurance together. Keep the actual files in the storage you chose; the next device receives the background through Cloud.

Where each part belongs

  1. 01

    Choose where the files live

Use your device or a storage connection supported by Packtell. Your storage account keeps its own terms and fees.

  2. 02

    Keep access on your device

The authorized Packtell device holds the storage credentials. Cloud does not receive them.

  3. 03

Let another device find the right version

Cloud carries the Package background. Packtell gets the actual file directly through authorized storage access.

OrbiFabric Cloud has no capability to obtain your actual files.

Cross-device context does not require another copy of your files in OrbiFabric Cloud.

If something gets in the way

You can see the name but cannot open the file

Connect to the storage that holds the file and check your access. A filename is not a copy of the file.

A Family permission update is waiting

Packtell coordinates access through the authorized owner device. Updates may wait while that device is offline.

The only copy is gone

Cloud cannot recreate a lost file from its name, version or Witness record. Recovery needs a surviving copy.

A few things you may be wondering

Does Cloud get my actual files?

OrbiFabric Cloud has no capability to obtain your actual files.

Is Cloud storage space included?

No. Your third-party storage and its charges remain separate. Cloud provides the online service around the files.
